ASA Statement on Expanding Access to Capital Across America Hearing

WASHINGTON – The American Securities Association (ASA) today applauded the House Financial Services Committee for holding a full committee hearing on expanding capital formation beyond Silicon Valley and across America.  

“ASA Applauds Chairman Hill and Subcommittee Chair Wagner for prioritizing small business capital formation, and for considering legislation to encourage more companies to go public, so American working families and retirees can share in their success,” said ASA President and CEO Chris Iacovella. “ASA looks forward to partnering with the Committee to advance a capital formation agenda and address the lack of research for small businesses, the corporate governance costs and litigation threats required to do business as a public company, and illiquid trading for small businesses.”
