WASHINGTON – The American Securities Association (ASA) today applauded the U.S. Senate for voting to confirm Eugene Scalia as Secretary of the Department of Labor (DOL).

“Eugene Scalia is a highly respected attorney with a great deal of experience navigating Washington’s regulatory landscape and he understands its impact on American businesses and consumers,” said ASA CEO Chris Iacovella. “We applaud the Senate for ushering through his swift confirmation and believe he can get to work on day one to ensure the DOL’s rule is harmonized with the SEC’s Reg BI. Politically-motivated calls to recuse himself from this important process should fall on deaf ears.”
